Applicants can apply for more than one course through SMEAT in order of their preference. The candidate needs to be present at the test venue a minimum of 30 minutes before the start of the test for registration & verification. If a candidate is late by more than 10 minutes of the scheduled test time, he or she will not be allowed to appear for the test.

To be admitted to various courses at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, prospective students must qualify for the SMEAT entrance test with a valid score followed by a counselling process. Once the counselling procedure is over, the selected candidate will be issued an offer letter. The student must pay the admission fee to confirm the seat. Collectively and individually, from entry-level practitioners to working professionals and advanced practitioners, we are engaged in creative impact making. In addition to scholarships and fellowships offered by Srishti, students may also be eligible for external scholarships or funding opportunities. The first year is common for all design courses where we are taught the various skills in art like sketch,illustrations how to handle various materials like wood,plastic,plaster of paris. Second year onwards the specialization for the respective courses start with internship at the end of 3rd year design collection project in final year which ends with a show. We Dont have a formal placement day where professionals would come and employ us but at the end of the graduation there is a formal exhibition where students display their final projects which helped them graduated. Alot of professionals are invited by the college to visit during this exhibition so they can view they student works and recruit them/ set an interview up with them right there if required.

Admission to SMIADT UG courses is based on Srishti Entrance and Aptitude Test (SMEAT) scores. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology UG programs is that candidates must have qualified the 10+2 examination. Admissions to SMIADT PG programs are based on Srishti Entrance and Aptitude Test (SMEAT) score and the interview conducted by the Institute. SMIADT PhD admission is based on UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/JRF/INSPIRE scores.

Our campus features study spaces designed to inspire creativity, the largest fashion library on the West Coast, state-of-the-industry classrooms, and the world-class FIDM Museum & Galleries which houses the Study Collection dating back to the 18th century. The course is designed in such a manner that it makes sure that the students not only have theoritical knowledge about the field but also throws light on the practical part of the course and application of these in practical life as well. The history of design, types of design, different genres etc. We were never spoon fed of taught anything in Srishti it was just about facilitating. You do your own research, form your own concepts based on the course selected and make a project out of it with a lot of help from the faculty. This helped in a major way to learn how to do things yourself which helped in our professional growth.

Admissions to the programs are done based on Srishti Manipal Entrance and Aptitude Test (SMEAT) scores. Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, and Technology has a Career Development and Placement Cell (CDPC) dedicated to providing students with career guidance and placement support. The CDPC conducts pre-placement training and workshops to equip the students with the necessary skills for job interviews and industry interactions. Additionally, the students are provided with opportunities to engage in internships and industry projects, which enable them to gain practical experience and exposure to real-world challenges.

My classes have not started as yet, but I assume that the course syllabus would be amazing. The academic program in Srishti is unmatched as we get to try our hand at everything in the first year and then choose our specialisations. I prefer others to join because it was a small college but it encourages students to come up with their dreams.

The institute conducts a Srishti Manipal Entrance and Aptitude Test (SMEAT). The last date to apply for SMEAT 2024 is March 27, 2024 (Round 1) for UG courses and the applications for PG and PG Diploma courses are open till March 24, 2024 (Round 1).
